Connect a custom domain to your Flowti
A custom domain signals professionalism and trust. This guide walks you through the whole process, from buying the domain to verifying it in Flowti.
Requirements
- An active Pro or Business plan.
- A domain bought from any registrar (Namecheap, GoDaddy, Google Domains, Cloudflare, etc.).
- Access to your domain's DNS panel.
Step 1: Add your domain in Flowti
- Go to Dashboard → Settings → Domain.
- Enter your domain without "https://" or "www." (e.g. milink.com or links.milink.com).
- Click Save.
- Flowti will show the DNS instructions for your setup.
Step 2: Configure DNS
For a subdomain (links.milink.com), add a CNAME record:
Type: CNAME
Name: links
Value: cname.flowti.co
TTL: AutoFor an apex domain (milink.com), it depends on your registrar:
• If it supports CNAME flattening (Namecheap, Cloudflare), use CNAME → cname.flowti.co.
• If not, use an A record:
Type: A
Name: @
Value: 216.198.79.1
TTL: AutoStep 3: Verify
Go back to Dashboard → Settings → Domain and click "Verify". If DNS has propagated, your domain activates instantly and Flowti auto-generates the SSL certificate.
DNS propagation can take anywhere from a few minutes to 48 hours, depending on your registrar.
Quick FAQ
Do I need to pay for SSL?
No. Flowti auto-provisions free SSL for every connected domain.
Can I point multiple domains to the same page?
For now, one custom domain per account. Your Flowti subdomain (flowti.co/yourname) keeps working as a fallback.
